Seton Hill Student-Body Activities Council Receives National Award
SAC co-executives Sean Garrity of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Kirstin Logan of Cape May Court House, N.J., along with former SAC co-executive Meredith Harber of Indiana, Pa. attended the conference. Tom Donovan, Student Activities Office graduate assistant and advisor to SAC attended the conference with the students.
The APCA Programming Board of the Year Award (Boyd Jones Award) is named for Boyd Jones, a well-known and respected programmer from Winthrop University. The award recognizes the best all around programming board effort during the year. Criteria include the number and quality of events, resource management, association involvement, and volunteerism.
The Student-Body Activities Council, in conjunction with the Office of Student Activities and Commuter Life at Seton Hill, plans student activities and programming. Activities include social and cultural events, both on and off-campus. Popular activities include trips to points of interest such as Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., and New York City, dances, skiing trips, intramural sports, holiday events, on-campus entertainers; and trips to sporting events and arts performances.
