Greensburg, PA – Edgar Highberger, Assistant Professor of Music & University Organist, will perform a recital celebrating the installation of Seton Hill’s new organ on Sunday, March 7 at 3 p.m. in St. Joseph Chapel. Included on the program will be the works of J.S. Bach, Cesar Franck, Edward Elgar, Max Reger and Gerald Bales. Mr. Highberger will be assisted by Kathleen Campbell, Seton Hill Associate Professor of Music & soprano saxophonist. Dr. Curt Scheib, Chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Division at Seton Hill will join in the performance of Charles Callahan’s "The Emerald Isle" for organ duet. Joanne Highberger will read poetry celebrating the organ by Auden, Milton, Francis Hopkinson & Emily Dickinson.

Seton Hill’s new A.E. Sterner organ consists of 82 ranks of digitally reproduced Skinner and Aeolian-Skinner voices by Robert Walker controlled by a Skinner-style three manual console constructed by Roger Colby.
