Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Events
Martin Luther King Education Program
Thursday, January 31, 2008
11:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m., Cecilian Hall
Theme: The Dream: Past, Present, and Future
The highlight of this event will be a video presentation of Dr. King’s "I have a dream" speech, given in August 1963 in Washington, DC. Following the presentation students will share the ways they might influence the future of race relations by eliminating discrimination and prejudice and furthering Dr. King’s dream of a just community.
The Task Force members are asking for faculty support in helping us to have another successful celebration. Please bring your class to the presentation (classes are not cancelled). All present will gain a better understanding and appreciation of the significance of Dr. King’s message and his impact on our world.
