Eight members of the Griffin wrestling team remain alive for a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championships after day one of the Super Region I Championships on Friday.  West Liberty University is hosting the event.  Two Griffins are in the championship semifinals and six others are into the consolation quarterfinals.  The eight wrestlers are the most a Griffin wrestling program has advanced to the second day of a regional.
