A native of North Carolina, I grew up during the turbulent 60's, although I led a conventional middle-class existence and was too young to be a hippie. I trusted Christ as my Savior during my senior year of high school. I've lived in Pennsylvania for over 20 years. Although I'm a biologist, I sometimes tell my students that I'm "a music major gone bad," because playing the guitar is a big part of my life. Teaching at Seton Hill allows me to incorporate many of my professional interests and hobbies into my courses, including Human Biology & Medicine and Special Topics in Biology.
